Textron Systems’ Aerosonde® UAS platform is a highly configurable maritime and land-based UAS built to provide advanced capabilities for a variety of ISR mission sets. In addition to VTOL, this aircraft features a heavy fuel engine, multiple-intelligence payloads, communications relay, and is field-proven with over 700,000 flight hours. The Aerosonde UAS is capable of meeting continually evolving mission requirements and the wide array of environments seen across the Canadian landscape.

Aerosonde Models

Aerosonde is offered in both fixed wing and hybrid quad variant. Each variant also has two different size classes with the 4.7 being the smaller and 4.8 being the larger. While operating nationally and internationally, the corporate office of Canadian UAVs is located on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, including the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai Nations; the Stoney-Nakoda, including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and and Goodstoney First Nations; and the Tsuut'ina Nation.
